Classe Italiana was born in 2020 from the long-time dream and determination of four friends and colleagues. At a time when everything suggested not taking risks, our passion for the profession, supported by our solid experience, was the real driving force behind us. The multi-year and multifaceted practice matured over the years is a guarantee of quality in the different sectors of supply.

Administrative manager

Hi, I’m Carlette –

For over 30 years I have worked as an administrative manager covering different positions. I worked at centro di lingua e cultura italiana “Torre di Babele” from 1990 to 2020 managing both front- and back-office, handling a range of administrative tasks and taking care of student needs.

This job continues with Classe Italiana.
I am the reference point for all students from the very first contact to complete follow up.

I also have experience in the tourism sector, having worked in the past as a Hostess at the prestigious Tour Operators.

I speak Italian, Dutch, English and German.

“My two main passions are reading and films, preferably in the original language. This is why I like to learn new languages directly on the spot, all accompanied by laughter.”

Hi, I’m Francesca –

I have been a teacher of Italian to foreigners for more than 20 years, teaching to different profiles of learners, and have also been involved in projects for groups of homogeneous native speakers. I worked at centro di lingua e cultura italiana “Torre di Babele” from 2001 to 2020. I am also specialized in CILS preparation.

I have taught Italian language courses in public schools, helping young students to integrate more easily into the classroom environment by mastering the language.

I taught at various religious institutes among them, in 2005, the Pontifical Urbaniana University.

I speak Italian, English and French.

Diana Giacometti

Teacher and teacher trainer

Hi, I’m Diana –

I am a teacher and teacher trainer. I worked at centro di lingua e cultura italiana “Torre di Babele” from 2003 to 2020 teaching to different profiles of learners, following projects for groups of homogeneous native speakers and teaching language for specific purposes (e.g. coordinator and teacher of Italian courses for study at the IED, Istituto Europeo di Design). I was also responsible for updating teaching materials.

I have held DITALS certification certification since 2003, and since 2011 the Diploma of Specialization in teaching Italian as a foreign language of the University for Foreigners of Siena, with which I also participated in vocational language training projects for the social reintegration of foreign prisoners. I also taught refresher courses for teacher trainers and DITALS tutors.

I have been training teachers and preparing for DITALS since 2013, both in classroom sessions and online.

From 2003, I was in charge of the CILS certification preparation for “Torre di Babele”, coordinating with the University for Foreigners of Siena from 2017 to 2020.

I speak Italian and English.

Hi! I’m Laura-

I have taught Italian for more than 20 years. After graduating in Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures (English and Russian) I moved to Moscow, where I trained in the teaching of foreign languages ​​at the BKC International House school. I then taught courses at the same school for native Russian speakers to learn the Italian language. From 1996 to 1999, I taught Italian-Russian children at the “Costanza Vinci” elementary school (Moscow) where I also taught adult students.

Back in Italy in 1999, I attended the training course for teachers at the Italian language and culture center Torre di Babele, a school where I immediately started working, giving in person online courses for international students at various levels.  I taught at Torre di Babele for 20 years, always maintaining a focus in virtual learning and structuring lessons for online classes.

I also work with students in preparation for CILS and PLIDA certification.

I speak Italian, English and Russian.
